About the Technology

LFCS is a system designed for transporting live fish. It can be placed on battery operated a-rickshaws, mini trucks or mid size trucks. It can be utilized for live fish marketing, fish seed transportation, ornamental fish trade, brood fish handling in hatcheries etc. It is also useful for storing live fish during marketing. It keeps the fish alive for >7 days with complete freshness. LFCS can also be used by retailers as a live-fish selling kiosk. It increases the farmers’ income by fetching 40-50% more price compared to iced or dead fish. It is made up of plastic and stainless steel. It can also help in getting rid of inhuman  working environment that is commonly seen in fish markets and auction centers. It can also reduce fish mortality during transport, and preventing economic loss & post- harvest loss of fish.

  • LFCS has automatic  aeration, filtration, ammonia  absorption ,  faces segregation and water chilling systems ensuring continuous availability of good quality water which assures less fish mortality (<1%).
  • LFCS  is  more stable compare to conventional method that creates vehicular imbalance and results in frequent accidents.
  • This system does away with the manual aeration by using hand, feet, handy, tube etc. in conventional method.
