About the Technology

The ready to constitute makhana kheer mix is a new product using pulverized  makhana, sugar and milk powder whereas liquid milk and whole makhana are  used in cooking of makhana kheer in the traditional method. Use of this mix for preparation of makhana kheer eliminates the cooking  processes followed in the conventional household method. It saves time, energy and enhances convenience in preparation of makhana kheer. The developed product has helped in increasing  the value of makhana many folds. Makhana kheer mix has longer shelf life and can be transported at  much lower cost  as compared to that of popped makhana to anywhere for marketing for better remuneration.
