Visible light insect trap

About the Technology

Visible-light insect-trap is designed to effectively trap insects infesting stored food commodities, regardless of the type of commodity  being stored. This trap overcomes various limitations and drawbacks  associated  with  existing light  traps. It can efficiently capture insect  species like Rhyzopertha dominica,  Lasioderma serricorne, Cadra cautella, Sitotroga cerealella, Tribolium castaneum, Laemophloeus spp  majorly. The trap consists of a printed circuit board (PCB) with 450 ± 10  nm wavelength designed with surface mount devices (SMDs).
